Accounts Receivable Analyst

Job Description

Nationals Accounts Receivables Analysts are primarily responsible for working with an assigned portfolio of business to business accounts in an effort to obtain the lowest possible DSO while retaining the customers' business.

Education: The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree or equivalent, from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education, with specialization in Accounting, Finance or Business, and/or previous experience working in Credit and Collections or Accounts Receivable.

Experience: This position requires a minimum of two years of experience in business to business collections. Must be able to read, write and speak English Must be proficient with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.

Firm understanding of Collections and Account Reconciliation process
Excellent customer service and communication skills required
Heavy Deduction/Chargeback and account reconciliation experience is a must
Strong organizational and time management skills required with the ability to follow company procedure while working independently
Strong analytical skills
Proven ability to set priorities and work within deadlines
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with constantly changing priorities
Enjoy working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment focused on exceeding expectations
Ability to work in a team atmosphere promoting positive work relationships
Capable of multitasking on a daily basis
JDE experience a plus

A/R Analyst have primary accountability as point of contact for VCG customers performing audits and reconciliations, while resolving account issues.
Releases orders that fall on credit hold for customers with credit limits under $150,000.
Works with Credit Manager on reviewing credit lines for increases/decreases.
Facilitate relationship with Customer, Sales and internal operations, ensuring resolution of customer issues in a professional, respectful and timely manner.
Process and review account adjustments, small balance write offs, and credit memos for assigned customer accounts.
Research and resolve discrepancies which may result from short paid invoices, returned product, short shipments, pricing issues or CO-OP/Rebate deductions etc.
Maintain and update accurate customer account records (i.e. notes)
Perform other accounting related duties as needed
Daily collection efforts by email and phone calls
Meet departmental goals and metrics, within assigned portfolio.
Must be present in the workplace and demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule as determined by manager
